I went to the Philadelphia Women in Tech Summit, part of Philly tech week, today. It was my first conference, and a great experience. Here were some of the big lessons I took away from the event.

If you want something, ask.

There are common themes behind the positive experiences women have had in tech.

And a common time between the negative experiences women have had.

Give back: Be a mentor, and stay involved.

When looking for mentees or hires…

There are plenty of moms in tech! It is possible.

And bring business cards.
